Dear Big D. Drilling started in FW the same way it is in Dallas, along the edges of town before it moved into the inner city. You better take this invasion seriously. They will lie and obfuscate. They will make false promises. Don't be suckered in. Don't compromise. Just say NO!
You can blame FW Mayor Mike Moncrief for creating the urban drilling template that Dallas is copying. I suggest you burn him in effigy to gird your loins for the battle to save Dallas. The battle of your life.
It's painfully obvious that this model of drilling doesn't work. Moncrief can claim all the benefits to drilling all he wants- he still remains with an enormous budget shortfall and seriously declining property values. Dallas should really take notice if they have any brains at all. That chunk of money they just got will be long gone, but the ruined property is forever.
Our propery value is painfully bad, but the health effects of all are far worse. Let them undergo 1 week of treatment from the effects and see what they decide.
