Poor, Poor Williams. They feel violated!
Williams Gashole, Kelly Swan, explains the cluster frack:
Swan said even though Williams believes the project is vested, some parties don’t agree, which is another reason for the lawsuit.
The petition states, “While Bartonville, and to a lesser extent Flower Mound have played an ETJ shell game with the Red Rock Lane tract, Denton County has refused to issue a floodplain permit for the compression facilities project stating as the sole reason for its refusal that a development plat needs to be filed with the appropriate municipality, or Mockingbird must obtain a written stipulation from the municipalities involved that no development plat is required.”

Why does Debra Medina continue to sit on the Flower Mound Gas Advisory Board while being employed by a company that repeatedly sues the city?

I seem to remember that someone got kicked off the advisory board for being connected to a lawsuit. Wouldn't that set a precedent?

Good memory. Yes, in that case it was argued that the persons who were kicked off were suing over the legality of the ordinance, the same ordinance that was being reviewed for RECOMMENDING changes. It was argued that this created a special conflict of interest which could not be allowed. In this case, Williams (their affiliate) is suing the city (AGAIN), but I guess that isn't enough of a conflict of intertest to warrant kicking the Williams employee off of the board she is currently serving on. Newsflash – there is a double standard or the gas industry.

Industry should never be allowed on these boards! It's just plain dumb. There are plenty of petroleum engineers with no ties to industry who would give technical advice. Under no circumstances should industry ever have a vote.

At the very least they should quit name calling people who try to put reasonable restrictions on their activies. As if there is any question how they will vote on ANY regulation while serving on these boards.
