Hello? Industry is injecting frack fluid right into our drinking water.
Keep drilling toxics out of our drinking water Tell your Senators, Representative to support the FRAC Act
Couple of points:
You do not have to live on top of the shale to become a “Shaleionaire,” In fact, most mineral owners live far from the shale due to the Split Estate. Or, landowners take the money and go live somewhere else. Eventually, the pollution overwhelms those who live near the drilling. The Shaleionaires can afford to leave but what about those who can’t afford to leave? So, some get rich and some get cancer.
Accidents are going to happen, folks. Just be sure you aren’t in the way. And, hey, don’t drink frack fluid per Aubrey McClendon. Disregard what all those other industry folks said about drinking frack fluid. Is anyone dizzy from all the spin? Drano in our drinking water? Really, Aubrey?
If independence from foreign oil is our objective, then why sell shale gas to foreign countries. Natural gas is not an alternative.
Here are your options, folks:
- Conserve, conserve, conserve
- Generate your own electricity with solar panels
- Promote windmills.
Flip this around:
Bloomberg reports that fossil fuel subsidies are twelve times renewable energy subsidies.

Aubrey never answered the question. He said, "That's the fear, isn't it?" Crazy chemicals. Okay, without having to define this, the chief difference, Aubrey, is that NO ONE is pouring Drano into their well water. Idiot CHK, or in my case, ARUBA PETROLEUM, Larry Jackass Poston, is putting drilling chemicals into my drinking water. Might even be some Drano being poured into it, given their level of incompetence. They screwed every other stage up, why not?

"That's the fear, isn't it." I heard that, too but, thought, no way. Thanks for clarifying. The CBS camera did a good job of getting his creepy facial expression. It gave me goosebumps. Aubrey looked like Bela Lugosi in Dracula for a sec there, or maybe JR Ewing in Dallas. That alsone was worth sitting through him and the bumpkin twins.
You all did a good job, Tim. Overall, I think the show was a WIN for our team, especially with CSI. As for Drano, most thinking people stopped using toxic kitchen chems long ago. There are safer alternatives. His old, tired, false arguments are aimed at NON-thinkers.

the only tax break is the 15 percent depletion allowance that the oil cos. and mineral right holders get . we pay 11.5 % at the well various state extraction taxes id ND and still pay a corporate and personal income tax .the windmills get all sorts of tax subsidies and pay no production taxes .I believe at this point the best way to be green [ as renewables are just are not there yet ] is to conserve and have $5 a gallon gasoline.it kills me to see a housewife driving an suv that gets 12 mpg just to take her fat kids to school
