Were you cold when your power was off during the rolling blackouts? Yeah, me too. Although I never turn my thermostat up over 68 degrees in the winter and I try to use as little energy as possible, when it’s 8 degrees outside and you live in an old, decrepit apartment, some heat is kind of nice.
While we shivered, power companies made millions and it looks like some manipulation took place.

The biggest producing energy state there is, and they can't even keep the lights on. Nice work.

Energy companies at work in Texas! They are all a bunch of a-holes. Enron is still at work. Good article by Forrest Wilder.

Wow, looks much like what happened in California in 2000. The commercial gas users who get allocated as higher priority than gas fired power plants makes NO sense, since commercial places also need electricity as well to stay open. And, gas pipelines need to not be tightwads about having backup power generators, something they should have learned after Katrina & Ike.
What happened to the Gov. Perry "economic miracle" during this?
