If you are surprised by this, you might want to take this test.
Thanks to some excellent sleuthing by the DESMOGBLOG and a leaked memo, we now know who funded the start-up of Energy In Depth.
- BP
- Halliburton
- Chevron
- Shell
- XTO Energy (now owned by ExxonMobil)
- El Paso Corporation
- Occidental Petroleum
- Anadarko
- Marathon
- EnCana
- Chevron
- Talisman
- API
- IPAA
- Schlumberger
- Ohio Oil and Gas Association.”

According to the 2009 memo, Energy In Depth was orchestrated as a “major initiative to respond to…attacks” and to devise and circulate “coordinated messages” using “new communications tools that are becoming the pathway of choice in national political campaigns.”

Of course they were created by the biggest gasholes of all, how else could they afford a paragraph in every newspapers' articles coverage of Natural Gas related news? Yee Haw, this a bigger deal than some non-debate over an email chain! Im still waiting for the official Energy in Depth hitpiece on TxSharon, what distraction will they think of next?
