CLICK HERE to see what happened in another state when the Koch Brothers got tried to manipulate the people with their dirty oil money.
Dear fellow Texan,
Efforts to shut down or handicap Texas energy providers are underway in North Texas, and will inevitably hurt the local economy. The natural gas industry has been a pillar of our state’s economy for decades and provides nearly 1.3 million jobs for Texans. (Chesapeake Energy) southlake.JPGIn Southlake, city council members are debating whether to allow natural gas drilling in the Barnett Shale area, and it’s important that we continue to move forward in a timely manner.
The city council hearing on this issue happens TOMORROW – and it’s important that the council members hear from you!
Texas continues to lead the nation in the safe and productive development of this clean-burning energy alternative. In fact, about 3/10 of total U.S. natural gas production occurs in Texas, making it the nation’s leading producer of this American energy.
Please take a moment to send a letter to your city council members urging them to say “YES” to beneficial natural gas drilling – it is of the upmost importance! We depend on affordable energy to cook our food, fuel our cars and keep the lights on. If the council rejects this proposal, it would set a dangerous precedent that would hamper local energy projects that provide us with the vital domestic resources that we rely on daily.
The homegrown abundant gas reserves available in the Barnett Shale stand ready to meet Texas’ energy needs today and for future generations.

Americans for Prosperity is a grassroots organization of taxpayer advocates. [No it’s not! It is a group of easily manipulated people who believe propaganda paid for by the billionaire Koch Brothers.]
So, hurry up and get on with the drilling because Chesapeake has already sold that gas to China.

Everyone's talkin about this Times article…. let's see if it's better than their previous strike outs
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/27/us/27gas.html?_r=2&pagewanted=1&hp
Well first off how many times will people parrot this climate change bridge fuel myth. Everyone will only talk about how clean natural gas burns, totally ignoring the extraction process. If too much methane escapes during extraction it cancels out the benefit of how clean it burns.
Second, if the EPA is sending internal memos showing the danger is greater than previously understood, why do we have to wait until the end of 2012 for them to start regulating this danger?
Wow this is getting juicy… So the EPA knows that drilling waste water is too radioactive to be treated completely by sewage treatment plants that dump the water back into rivers. Ouch. Back in 2009?!?!
After waste treatment plants ineffectively treat the waste water, some stays in the water reintroduced to rivers and the rest turns into a sludge that can be buried in landfills. Hmmm that seems extremely dangerous to bury the radioactive sludge in landfills. And probably not ones made to handle radiation like the one in Andrews.
Well folks looks like the Times finally took the time to do some research on this epic environmental abortion.

Amazing Photo Diary. It's incredible that the Americans for Prosperity and all the organizations like it are getting away with so much deception. So sad for our country. Go Wisconsin!

Is this the first time a national outside group has bothered to leaflet a specific drill permit in the Barnett Shale?
