On March 16th Devon lost control of a well in Ward County and had a full on blowout.
Devon Energy Gas Well Blowout
They finally got control of the well on March 22. That’s a lot of methane and other stuff blowing into our Texas air for SIX STRAIGHT DAYS. Nice job.
Chip Minty, Devon spokesman said:
Minty said there was no estimate on the quantity of natural gas that escaped before the well was capped, and drilling would begin again after remediation
And that’s the last we will ever hear of that. God only knows how much methane and accompanying toxic compounds that was.

Mineral Right Owners:
There is no way the gas company you receive money from knows how much gas they are taking from under you.
There's a huge chance, you're getting ripped off.
From an environmental stand point, you are.
Gas Companies should put meters on their wells. One with the gas coming in and one with the VOC's venting into our air.
See you in Fort Worth!
