I can't believe that councilwoman really said "some people stand to make a lot of money."
With her logic, money makes it ok to ignore that they are making people sick, including those helpless school children.
The Argyle-Bartonville alliance showed us not to wait for cancer. Asthma is an immediate threat.
At least Dish had Tillman and still has that fearless council. God help those residents in Argyle.

BAHAHAHA. Car idling!? The air all over Tarrant County and Denton County is utterly compromised not by all the cars driving and idling in DFW, but by the emissions from gas drilling that are equal to the emissions of every car in the metroplex. How can anyone explain away how terrible our air has become? Doesnt anyone remember what it used to look like just six years ago?
I hate to retread old news but the congressional report that details how Texas received ten times more chemicals in the ground that should have been protected by the neutered SDWA, or double the amount of BTEX as any other state, should be grounds for suing the pants off of this industry. Whoops, also ten million gallons of diesel injected illegally into the ground in Texas.
But sorry won't happen, cause the Federal and state government won't even tax these corporations fairly. Why would they ever regulate them? And how can they when the EPA has no budget. Especially now that Obama and Republicans can agree on the need for out of control fracking to ramp up further.

This council woman is truly out of touch with what is going on in her community. Sounds like a bad case of cranial rectitus!

I'm sure it has nothing to do with her exercising her rights with her gas lease signed November 19, 2007 with Williams, after all people stand to make a lot of money, and may the rest be damned. We certainly can't have Argyle risking law suits, and after all, we have that wonderful area just outside city limits called Argyle Central, conveniently located in the ETJ (Extra Territorial Jurisdiction)to ship our poisons to, screw those folks as long as the mineral owners get their money, Argyle doesn't have to have it in city limits and worry about those pesky law suits O & G likes to threaten you with. I guess they sleep better with their check book under their pillows.
