My friend at Off the Kuff pointed out this burning irony last night.
May 1, 2003: President George W. Bush landed in a jet on the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln off the California coast and, in a speech to the nation, declared major combat in Iraq over.
May 1, 2011: President Obama announces that bin Laden is dead.
That’s all I have to say about the matter.
