Just remember, the report will come with a big dose of spin, like always. We won’t know the real answers until the raw data is digested which will take several weeks.

Wouldn't be a hydro fracking article without Ed Ireland wormtoungueing his two cents. On vapor recovery, electric compressors:
"Many companies are already using those techniques, said Ed Ireland, executive director of the Barnett Shale Energy Education Council, an industry group.
'Those are pretty much best management practices in the industry,' Ireland said"
Oh they're already using those best practices just no where near the Barnett Shale. Maybe Ed Ireland thought we all lived in Wyoming for a second. Maybe we need to email every journalist in America and warn them NOT to quote that weasel. Also this article glosses over the VOCs because they disperse like right after they show up in the air samples… I guess.

So annoying, the only headline you can find about the air study is 'no significant health threats'. And there is no escaping Ed Ireland in any of the articles I've read. Haha Barnett Shale drillers own study shows only 21 tons of VOCs a day. Yeah sure believe that over Al Armendariz' 2009 study which was actually academic and based on reality.
