Mrs. Burns gets all the fun! First ExxonMobil put a slap suit on her and now she has received a federal subpoena from Chevron. She posted the subpoena in her blog post.

This kind of stuff that is going on makes me loose all confidence in our Texas (so-called) justice system. The oil-soaked Tx courts are all bought off by big O&G and other industrial interests. Don’t expect any help there, only damage. This whole thing, the courts & cops system, needs to undergo a 50% budget cut. A lot of tax money would be saved and nothing will change for the little people.
We are also loosing more and more of our civil rights, the freedom of speech is nearly gone!

Nearly gone huh? Please elaborate on how your freedom of speech is nearly gone. Occupy wall street, news papers, blogs, elections, books, etc…. Hell, there are more ways of expressing yourself now than ever.

Having never neen Mrs. Burns’ blog before seeing this item today on your page, Sharon, I have been perusing it for the last hour or so and am at a loss. I consider myself fairly aware of the environmental impact of energy company practices, but the details regarding the human trafficking effect and legislature/jury influencing are really difficult to take in. I understand why the Ranchos Los Malulos site’s tone is satirical: it’s too damned depressing and overwhelming to take in without a little dark humor. Thank you for continuing your fearless coverage, ladies. Wow.

I thought Chevron would be glad to hear about this problem. I can feel one of their ads coming on:”Chevron should clean up their old burn pits!””WE AGREE”.
Amy: Look up “duct tape” at her blog, and seen the inept repair jobs XOM did with it on some of their produced water pipelines.
