There is no doubt that fracking violates human rights. Don’t miss this opportunity to provide testimony on how your human rights have been violated by fracking.
“This PPT is hugely significant because it will make important decisions on a key international issue: the uncontrolled spread of unconventional resource extraction.
“Fracking has taken place around the world in spite of serious public opposition and with large numbers of people alleging that their human rights have been ignored by those who supposedly represent them. This PPT aims to consider those allegations in an even-handed and judicial way.”
A coalition of human rights lawyers and academics has been granted an opportunity to put fracking on trial at hearings to be held in the UK and the United States. Other countries are encouraged to hold preliminary mini tribunals.
This is your opportunity to submit testimony on how fracking violates human rights. Are you tired of having your rights violated and trampled on for the rights of the minority?
The hearings on fracking are scheduled for 2017 and evidence will be invited from across the world. It will include:
- Personal witness statement
- Expert testimony on the practices and impacts of fracking
- Findings from preliminary hearings in other countries
- Peer-reviewed research
- Academic reports
- Human Rights Impact Assessments

I have the right to clean air and water.
Spending time outside Texas reminds me that both exist. I will leave Texas and move to a state without fracking in order to have those rights back

Great that you can get out but many of us are stuck so please submit your testimony before you leave. And good luck.

Here’s an idea, if you don’t like the petroleum industry quit driving, move out to the country and ride your horse every where. Don’t buy clothes or any plastic product. You cannot live the way you all do with out drilling and or fracing. No proof exists that fracing harms anything. Get off your fuckin high horse. Liberal fucks.

If you didn’t suck so bad at fracking no one would care. But you do suck so we do care.
Can you guys think of any other response? I’ve heard that one thousands of times now.
George says
That sounds like what comes from people being high on chemicals or they are in need of more, like a drug addict that cannot see any further, than for his next fix..

He’s obviously a troll desparately seeking attention. He is neither informed nor forwarding an opinion worth hearing. Blogs have no first amendment obligations, enying or deleting his post is not “abridging free speech” – he is free to launch his own blog.

Chaney sucks, big time!
Ann Jackson says
Dear Mr. Chaney,
First of all, you have no class and I am certain you can’t BUY any of that. Second, why are you posting your dribble here? I think you may be on the wrong website, Sir. This one is NOT for Big Ass and Oil. If you Google Big Gas and Oil, you will find your cronies there. Third, I think you are an extremely rude man who picks on TX Sharon and anyone who doesn’t believe like you do. Why would we CARE what you have to say? Oh…and by the way…it is spelled fracking, not fracing. If you are going to frack everything up, perhaps you should learn to spell the word. And please go play on a landfarm somewhere. Or drink the contaminated water in Dish, TX or Pavillion, WY. Or go to Dimock, PA. We need people who are not afraid of fracking waste to live in those places so we can test their blood for fracking chemicals. You are so sure it is safe. Why don’t you do live in one of those places? And before you think you can have the last word, let me tell you I won’t be back to this page. So spread your dribble if you must. Or so slink off and find someone who gives a hoot what you say!

This human rights issue gets a bit murky when corporations are people too.
TXsharon says
This is not about corporations. It’s about a country breaching the civil rights of its people.
George says
I do not agree with fracking our homelands, it is a far too much of a dangerous gamble upon peoples lives and it is a violation upon peoples rights in many ways, as anything under peoples homes or on their lands belongs to them, not the government or the big mining companies to negotiating behind closed doors to becoming a forceful ramrod over everybody in their path for this shale gas!!
TXsharon says
Entertainment value.
