Denton HugGate Part 2
The Denton HugGate scandal becomes more intriguing with another dispatch (below) from former Denton City Councilor Pete Kamp.
Kamp recently sent a TMWBR secret email to everyone in her contact list. The email was also widely circulated on Facebook. In the first email, Kamp carefully lays out the threat of Denton HugGate, a group of citizens who are trying to ruin Denton by hugging, sitting next to each other and talking.
In the latest email Pete Kamp explains that it’s not her PAC.
I was very clear to Peggy H-W that the PAC is not mine, nor is the website.
Do not be confused by the rest of what Kamp says about the PAC that is not hers. It’s a clever diversionary tactic.
I have received the invoices from DJSudol Consulting, the group who did the post card and website. They have billed us $12,004.93 for their services so far. That is about half of their original estimate. I have received $4500.00 in donations. As of yesterday, I suspended DJSudol’s services and do not foresee using them in the future.
Right now, I would just like to pay them and depend on emails to friends, family, and neighbors.
We breathlessly await the next installment of Denton HugGate from former Denton City Counselor, Pete Kamp. Could someone make sure she is stocked up on whiskey?

Subject: PAC News#2Friends,
Well, that was interesting! Thank you, Priscilla for your courage.
The mailer did as intended…it got people’s attention. The information on the website is “in their own words” and tells the truth. We have the truth on our side and if we are to help the future of Denton, we need to continue. I am willing if you are!
I had an interesting call from Bill Patterson after someone sent him a copy of my email to the PAC. He was very angry at me and said that the DRC writes “fair and balanced” articles, that they get both sides of the story, that they DO NOT write any articles that are biased or unfair, and that I (only me) have the wrong perception of their business supportive, award-winning paper. He also said that neither he nor his editor, Scott Parks has EVER heard that perception from ANYONE else. He said “NOBODY” ever talks to them about biased or unfair articles. Just so you know, they had to change one part of the article about the PAC online the next day because it was incorrect, unfair, and biased. I was very clear to Peggy H-W that the PAC is not mine, nor is the website. She said she was “edited” after she wrote the article and agreed with me it was unfair. Does not make much difference now, but it proves a point.
This email is not going out to the “mass” group – only to a much smaller group. I need your help!

Thank you to those of you who have already sent donations.
See you all soon!

Oh please tell me those WTFPeteKamp yard signs are for real.

Okay. Larry, the WTF Pete Kamp yard signs are for real. But as soon as they were announced, the requests flooded in like a tsunami crashing the gmail servers worldwide.
Jennifer Lane says
Who the heck is DJSudol Consulting? Any relation to Greg Johnson’s LLC: JDFIU? And I definitely want one of the signs.
Erin Clegg says
I really wanted a sign. Come put one in my yard!!!!
Tim Ruggiero says
Just so y’all are ‘clear’ on this, it’s not Miss Pete’s PAC. She just receives and pays the bills and makes the decisions on use, and if the PAC achieved it’s desired effect. Beyond that, no connection whatsoever.

Selfish pricks. Think how much good $4500 could do in Denton. Feed the homeless, help the animal shelter, feed hungry children, help the elderly poor with medicine. These people make me sick in so many ways.

Robber barons.
